Tribal Burn
Enter the magical gardens and immerse yourself in a fire storytelling experience...
Come leave your day to day life behind, and enter the gardens of Sacred Lands, where creatures, & personas come to life to uplift & inspire you! The fire burns away the dark, and from the ashes you can be born anew, washed clean and ready to reincarnate lighter, happier, and ready to face any challenge that comes...
Join us as twice a year, we come together to honor, support, and share the element of fire... magical, powerful, transformative. You will find yourself longing for this experience at Sacred Lands, where sacred cultural traditions from around the world are nurtured, we find a place to gather and claim our fiery heritage.
Tribal Burn is a production, a tale, a theme we embellish with talented friends from near and far. Sacred Lands is set in the lush foliage of an ancient Tocobago village, and the place for many weekly meditations, rituals, kirtan, and sweat lodges. We hope you return for the tour of their grounds where they will elaborate on the history of this magical place, or join us for our monthly drum circle every 2nd Friday.
Seating is limited, so come on time for the best seating.
Dinner is now served! Must order at least a week in advance, come early to dine in the beautiful grounds, and the opportunity to pick your seat early.
Our VIP seating already includes the full meal, beverages, gifts, and guests often get integrated into showtime antics.

Sat, Nov 2, 2024 - Day of the Dead
Sat, March 29, 2025
Remove yourself from your mere mortal, day to day existence, and journey through the Spirit World in the tradition of Dia de los Muertos, Day of the Dead. Experience performances, dances, fire ceremonies and more that honor the spirit of the beauty and creativity of human existence.
One of our favorite holidays to celebrate at Hip Expressions, Dia de los Muertos originates in Mexico. This rare holiday honors both life and death - exchanging mourning for celebration. We honor our past loved ones by sharing a meal with them, offering them marigolds, sugar skulls, and favorite food and drinks.
Calaveras (skulls) are ubiquitous during Day of the Dead. The skulls are often drawn with a smile - as if to laugh at death itself. They take many forms such as sugar candies, clay decorations, and most memorable: face painting!
As this is to honor our past loved ones, we'll be setting up an altar so they can share in the celebration. Please bring pictures of your past loved ones, favorite objects, or other representations to add to the altar so we can honor the cycle of life.
The show will be spectacular! Epic performances by local and visiting dancers will honor the joy and reverence of this Holiday.
Come dressed in your best Day of the Dead inspired outfit; if you are so inclined, join our costume contest! (More information below)
