Hip Expressions is known for our epic events, inclusive vibe, and inspirational experiences. We are constantly creating performances to entertain and educate, to connect you to to awe and wonder of the worlds we bring together.
Our events all have a super inclusive vibe; come dressed in your best to dance, play, and have fun! For our Productions (larger shows, Tribal Burn, etc), we love having guest artists from all over! If you have something you'd like to present, we accept applications several months in advance.

Join us for an unforgettable journey of movement, music, and magic at our Studio Sampler — a vibrant celebration where you can explore. Try a little of everything — from sultry Belly Dance to passionate Flamenco. Witness the artistry of our community with pop-up performances. We'll end with a beautiful Sound Healing to integrate all the good vibes!

Join us as we celebrate the variety of our Hip Expressions community. Dare to dress up in something FABULOUS that inspires you to DANCE. Or come as you are, your beautiful authentic self. Connect with community, join the festivities, and celebrate together!
- - performances by Hip Ex dancers, students, and guest artists
- - bring a drum and play along
- - hit the dance floor and practice applying what you've learned, or try something new in the safe space
No admission fee - donations accepted. Bring a friend, a snack to share, or your favorite drink.

Sign up to perform, come to watch, and DARE to participate in our annual event, in affiliation with Grand Central District's Halloween on Central. Wear a costume, or come as you are, and wear your Red Flower!

Immerse yourself in an otherworldly experience with our twice-yearly fire show fundraiser, supporting Sacred Lands. Escape reality and witness the thrilling spectacle of ignited excitement as you step into an enchanted realm! Revel in the beauty and dramatic intensity of our themed fire show parties. Dressing in the theme ALWAYS encouraged!
